patgundWas reading a Los Angeles Times article about Gen. John Abizaid announcing his retirement.
And was wondering to myself why he's not being stop-lossed. Especially since he speaks Arabic, and the military is massively short on Arabic translators.
I'm not being snarky or anything. Just curious as to why he gets to retire when stop-loss is keeping people in way past their retirement or enlistment dates.
