There's a point with chest and sinus infections in which the recovery is worse than actually being ill.
That's the point in which your body, having happily spent the time being an Easy-Bake mucus factory, suddenly decides to get rid off all of it's carefully handmade varicoloured gunk, often as violently as possible. Several hectares of tropical rain forest have been felled to produce enough tissue paper to blow my nose / cough up my lungs in.
Much of it ends up draining into the digestive tract. The resulting sensation being a level of nausea not unlike that experienced by listening to Pat Boone singing a cover of "Lovely Lady Lumps"
