Observation
Apr. 20th, 2008 05:16 pmMy dislike towards Sen. Clinton has nothing to do with her gender.
It has to do with the fact that she's a poor choice for president, has ran a horrible attack campaign, and shown a vindictiveness that is unacceptable for someone in the White House.
It has NOTHING to do with her plumbing, and EVERYTHING to do with the person she is.
I've got a six year old daughter. I'm raising her to believe she can be anything she wants to be when she grows up. Including President.
However, I'm also raising her to understand that lying, cheating and backstabbing are morally and ethically unacceptable.
I want her to see a woman as president in her lifetime - in my lifetime for that matter.
But NOT Sen. Clinton. I have no desire to vote for someone based on race, religion, or gender. And every desire to vote for someone based on what kind of person they are.
And with that meterstick, Sen. Clinton fails badly. Fails as a morally ethical person, which has nothing to do with gender.
