What....The....HELL?????
Sep. 7th, 2008 09:05 amNote to Gov. Sarah Palin:
You are running for Vice President of the United States. Not some fashion show. You are running for a job that puts you a heartbeat away from being one of the most powerful people in the world.
Which means dealing with people all the time that aren't going to waste much time or effort in being nice to you.
So just where the bloody hell do you get off saying you "won't subject (yourself) to any tough questions from reporters "until the point in time when (you'll) be treated with respect and deference." Wow, what an "elitist".
You want to be Vice President?? That means answering (and dealing with) tough questions. Not acting like the queen of the bloody may and demanding that reporters kowtow to your every demand. If you're so thin-skinned that you don't want to talk to the media unless they give you the "respect and deference" you demand, you are NOT cut out to be Vice President - or Governor of Alaska for that matter. You're on a national - for that matter, an INTERNATIONAL stage now, and you may find the media won't give in to your demands like the people in Alaska did.
Palin Media Avoidance Watch: Day 9 -- McCain Camp Says She Won't Do Interviews Until It Knows She'll Be Treated with "Deference"
"Rick Davis, campaign manager for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., just told Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace that McCain running mate Gov. Sarah Palin won't subject herself to any tough questions from reporters "until the point in time when she'll be treated with respect and deference."
Davis assailed the way the media had discussed Palin and her family in the last week and said the campaign would wait until a less hostile media environment.
So when will she subject herself to questions?
"When we think it's time and when she feels comfortable doing it," Davis said, praising a Fox News Channel profile of Palin that ran last night."
