Day before Election.....
Nov. 3rd, 2008 03:02 pmLooking at my choices......
Federal:
President - To nobody's surprise, my choice is for Sen. Barack Obama. He wasn't my first, second, or third choice in the primaries, and I'm still not overly happy with Biden. But I've grown to be secure in my support for Obama.
If the McCain in 2000 was running, I'd be more supportive of him. But between his flip-flops on just about everything in the last eight years and his choice of a completely unqualified VP nominee, I cannot bring myself to support him this time.
US Representative - Dr. McDermott has done a decent job in the US House of Representatives. Steve Beren doesn't impress me at all. So my vote goes to Rep. McDermott.
State:
Governor - Oh hell no to Rossi. Gregoire doesn't make my skin crawl like Rossi does.
Lt. Governor - Both Owen and McCraw have major pluses to them. Undecided.
Secretary of State - Sam Reed has built a rep for being unbiased. On the other hand, Osgood wants to get rid of ballot barcodes and voting machines. Undecided.
State Treasurer - Allan Martin is who I'm leaning towards
State Auditor - McEntee
Attorney General - Rob McKenna
Commissioner of Public Lands - Peter Goldmark
Superintendent of Public Instruction - Neither person thrills me
Insurance Commissioner - Mike Kreidler
State Measures:
985 - Mixed feelings on, leaning towards no
1000 - undecided
1029 - Yes
Sound Transit:
Prop 1 - Yes
King County:
Prop 1 - Yes
Prop 2 - Yes
