PUMAs go to Candy Mountain

By now, many other people have written of the utter and complete epic fail that was Darragh Murphy and Jenni4Hillary's radio debut/last show. That show (and the follow up blog post on the station's site) was a great example of just why and how PUMA has failed.
From day one, the PUMAs withdrew into their own litterboxes. Many either withdrew from various other political blogs, or (in the case of Riverdaughter, TexasDarlin, etc.), were kicked out of places like Democratic Underground or Daily Kos. In the case of "No Quarter", the moderate users were driven away, and the inmates claimed the asylum.
So from day one they showed a "we're taking our ball and going home and YOU'LL BE SORRY" approach.
And, in theory to keep out the hoards of slavering sexist bigoted Obots they imagined, they all, across the board, adopted a strict "no dissent" rule. They created their own Candy Mountain, and were now busy shunning the non-believers. "myiq2xu" bragged about how he "responded to liars who spewed propaganda" by childishly editing people's comments at the Confluence, while at PUMA PAC, koans of praise were made to the Great Goddess Murphy, Channeler of the One True Hillary, for squashing dissent, casting the unbelievers into the abyss, and making a "Safe, Welcoming Site" were all were One With Landru, sipping the same Flavor-Aid and reinforcing each other's beliefs and mindset. They still paid lip service to the Blessed St. Hillary, Warrior Goddess and Martyr, even when it became blindingly obvious the only similarity between Sen. Hillary Clinton and the PUMA's "Dear Hillary" was in name alone.
(Though some have since elevated, to equal status with the Blessed St. Hillary, the Fearsome Goddess Palin Moosekiller - Huntress/Protector of the far north)
So in these litterboxes - or hot-houses if you prefer, the same old memes and lies and stories are told and repeated and repeated over and over again until they are believed completely and absolutely. Never mind there's rarely if ever any truth to the matter, they KNOW that teh ebil Obambi is a malign, evil force that stole the rightful due from Dear Hillary. As a result, they KNOW there's 400 paid bloggers (there aren't). They KNOW more people voted for Dear Hillary (only if you count the numbers different ways). They know caususes were stolen, that "Dear Hillary" is secretly on their side with "PUMA-orange pantsuits". And, despite all logic or common sense, they know he was born in Kenya, or lost his citizenship when his mom married an Indonesian. Never mind the law, they KNOW this.
They know these things the same way the creepy person who hands out those Jack T. Chick tracts KNOW they're Gods Own Truth. Because that's all they're fed, that's all they believe or, indeed, WANT to believe. They see what happens to people who question these stories, they're cast out into the eternal darkness, never to bask in the shining face of the Great Goddess Murphy and her followers. They are not of the Body, they are no longer One With Landru. And so the non-believers are shunned, and the flavor-aid drinkers are so secure in their safe warm fuzzy reality that they can trash and demonize women who don't agree with them and still piously meow "sexism". Secure, safe, basking in their hot-house, perfect little brainless pious flowers.
There's a problem with hot-house flowers. They don't do well at all when exposed to the world outside their safe, happy little world. Murphy and Jenni ventured out of their hot-house, secure in their their ignorance, and went on to preach to the radio world the Gospel of the Great Murphy and the Wisdom of PUMA.
And promptly got their rears handed to them.
And the funny thing is they're having problems understanding WHY they failed. Or even that they failed at all. Just as they didn't understand why their PUMA convention failed so badly. Just as they didn't understand why the buses to Denver didn't appear, (Okay, Murphy might know that one). Just as they didn't understand just why their appearance in Denver failed so badly. Just as they didn't understand why the delegates didn't just BELIEVE what they were telling and automatically switch their votes to Dear Hillary. And just as they don't understand WHY these judges keep bringing up pesky things like "law", and "legal mumbo-jumbo" to dismiss case after case after case.
None of this makes any sense to them. Because they have lived for months now in a mental biosphere. Seeing what has happened to people who tell them the world is hollow and they have touched the sky, they have given themselves to mental and emotional inbreeding where the only ideas or concepts are those the PUMA zampolits allow. And like the inbred collie or neurotic chihuahua, they keep doing the same things over and over and over again because they've become politically pithed and unable to even THINK of anything else.
The radio showed the world just how bankrupt the PUMA theology has become. The problem is they don't understand it's bankrupt. Like LaRouches and other political lunatics, their destiny is marginalization, fighting against a world that doesn't see their "truth" and rejects their philosophy. They were promised Candy Mountain - and Murphy and the other PUMA leaders - not to mention reality - have left them passed out on the political landscape missing a kidney.
In the meantime, there's still some amusement to poke them with spoons as they roar and haka themselves into obscurity.
