The brain many times draws the material for it's dreams from the various sensory input the operator of said brain has given it. The problem is when, in a process much like fusion cuisine or some forms of fanfic, it attempts to splice together the data streams.

Which explains why my dream last night was that of watching a movie version of "Kushiel's Dart"........
