Let's put a small, warm, prey-sized, mammal-smelling animal in the middle of a large boid's coils and see if it triggers a feeding response. Because if it does, sure as the Goddess made little green apples, you are not getting that kid back out again until after serious and possibly permanent/fatal damage has been done. Boas are among the strongest, pound for pound, of the giant constrictores. Even very "tame", nice, sweet big boas can have a very strong feeding response to small warm mammals placed in their reach.
This picture should be grounds for removing the child from that home. Seriously.
