Cos the purple would clash with the loverly dark walnut, I think.
More seriously, the crayola colors just don't appeal to me. It makes me think the instrument's a cheezy plastic knockoff, rather than something a serious harper could play and transport easily-- which is really what it is.
Well, my Axline's cherry, so it might not clash with it too bad. They do have the unpainted, natural wood ones too. Though there's something in my brain that just is amused by a purple harp. :-)
Oh, I should have mentioned I found out about these on the LJ harp community.
(Laugh) Yeah, I thought purple would appeal to you. Heck, it appealed to me for that matter.
Next month is my last payment on my Axline. After that I need to get a case for it. I *suspect* that, based on how they sound, I may get a sharpsicle though. May need to make a trip up to SWHC to hear for myself.
And purple would be such a cheerful colour...... (evil grin)
I saw the Harpsicle at North Texas Irish Festival in the purple. Nice little harp that. I love the color. I could really enjoy the Sharpsicle. Blessed Be, Angelique
PURPLE!

But that's just me.
