Well, it's awfully suspicious. If you navigate to the product page, it says details won't be revealed until April 2...

I too hope it isn't. It would be way, way cool.

Fairly sure. The Foglios have been hinting for a while about writing a GG sourcebook for SJG. If it's an april fools joke, they may very well discover that the number of pissed fans may force them to make one anyway. :-)

http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/girlgenius/ says "Check back April 2nd for the whole story!"

That makes me think it is an AFJ. Or the lot of them are sadistic enough to say "April Fool! It's not a joke!" I'd love to see it, I'm a guaranteed sale, but I'd be surprised to see SJ designate one of his precious hardcover slots for a comic that's not even at its 12th issue yet.

The reason why I'm thinking it may not be an AFJ is that the Foglios have been hinting for a while about a GG book with SJG. And considering how fast the hardback of GG Vol. 1 sold out, it's not a surprise that they may have decided to take a chance on a RPG being hardcover as well.

If it turns out to be an AFJ, on the other paw, there are going to be a shitload of really, really, really pissed people.

Besides, if it was a joke, I would have expected something more like, oh, "GURPS - XXXenophile"....... :-)

"assisted by Michelle Barrett on the crunchy bits"

Isn't Michelle Barrett the manager of Warehouse 23? Is she a writer as well? I see she's done some playtesting, but I don't see any GURPS books authered by her. This is looking more and more like a hoax.

Perhaps the joke is that Michelle is assisting, and tomorrow it will be revealed that the book is real but has a different author?

Well, it's got what looks like a normal page to me now. No exact details yet, like page count or release date, but they say Q2 '05 is likely.
