I'm going to hazard a guess and say there's a entire National Geographic's worth of issues going on here.....
Granny, 72, Having A Baby With Her Grandson
Granny, 72, Having A Baby With Her Grandson
"Pearl told New Idea magazine: "From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship.
"For the first time in years I felt sexually alive."
It was during their second week together, after dinner and wine, that Pearl made her move.
"I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him," she added.
"I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back."
Phil revealed: "I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming.
"I love Pearl with all my heart. I've always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I'm going to be a dad and I can't wait."

Date: 2010-05-01 05:10 am (UTC)Pearl (the grandmother) had to give up her daughter for adoption. She may never have had another child and yearns for the chance to raise one.
Phil (the grandson) never really knew about his grandmother until he was an adult, and obviously wants to procreate.
Neither of them had a child-adult relationship as they met as adults (and thus on somewhat equal footing). Also, as they are using a surrogate and donor egg, there is no inbreeding going on.
I agree, it is distasteful, but I will chalk this one up to "Nowt so queer as folk."
