Iron Chef - Battle Egg

Watched the third "Iron Chef America" last night, Wolfgang Puck vs. Masaharu Morimoto, in "Battle Egg"

And by egg, I mean chicken, duck, quail, ostrich, salmon roe, etc.....

Puck won, and deserved it. While Morimoto treated the theme ingredient as a adjunct to his seafood dishes, Puck used it *as* the main ingredient, coming up with a wide variety of egg dishes. While they tied in plating and originality, Puck had the edge on taste, and won his first battle in kitchen stadium.

This episode was closer in spirit to the Japanese series too. I think they may have hit their stride on this one

I wanted to see the American Iron Chef battle because I thought that they might use better food products than the original Iron Chef. I missed the episodes and was wishing I had seen them. Thank you for telling me the main ingredients - I now realize I'm not missing anything. bleh!
