Con Wrap-up
Jul. 26th, 2004 09:35 amSaturday at the Con was the busiest of the days, as I spent part of the day wearing my Jedi robes before the Rebel Legion photoshoot, and then changed into my TIE outfit for the 501st shoot.
I'll post links for both those pictures when I get them.
I need to replace my digital camera, it's starting to barf on a lot of pictures. Almost none of the ones in my Jedi robes came out. One I'm really missing was pictures of a impromptu "battle" between a batch of Jedi and a batch of people dressed like the characters from "Pirates of the Carribean". Most annoyed at losing that one.
On the other hand, it's really fun to have little kids come up and want pictures of them "..with a real Jedi / real TIE pilot." (Smile). What I get, I guess for dressing in outfits from pop culture.
http://home.earthlink.net/~patgund/cc2004/cc2004.html has the pictures I was able to salvage though. The Samuari Stormtrooper armour is quite nice.
I suspect my next 501st outfit may have to be a Imperial Combat Medic though - it seems that, be the helmet plastic or metal, "Helmet Head", (the condition with costumers and recreationists, in which wearing a helmet seems to reduce IQ and self-preservation instincts by >50%), is just as common in the 501st.
Oh, and
thats_ms_dragon ? I owe you a breakfast / lunch / dinner / coffee / whatever break. :-)
Also ran into some old friends who currently play in the Adrian Empire. Was *really* nice to see them.
Sunday was mostly quiet. Got a couple of things for
ckgriffin and for Little Bit. Saw the Bionicles panel, and the "Dead like Me" panel. Went home. Slept.
It was nice to see
ag_unicorn,
thats_ms_dragon,
dancing_star and their kids, as well as
morgan_gw,
rolandx, their son, plus
tepintzin,
nolly,
darrelx, and more than likely others I can't remember in my befuddled state.
