Life on hold......

I have my next appointment for my knee on September 1st. This is when we go over the MRI and *hopefully* figure out why it's in almost constant pain anymore.

The annoying thing is that I feel like I can't make any plans until then.

In October, I'd like to drive up to either the California / Oregon border via old US 99, or even go past that point and play tourist in Seattle and maybe even Vancouver. (Need to check and see what I would need to drive aross the border and spend a few days in BC).

Then down 101 to the Bay Area, see a few friends there, and then back to SD.

But I can't do this drive if they plan to work on my knee before then.

(Grumble)

We'll see.

The drive between the US boarder,washington up through BC is some of the most beautiful area I have ever seen

It is absotulety lovely....highly recomend it......only place I have ever seen moose, elk, and bear either on the side of the road or in the middle of the road

*hugs* Thanks dearling. And yes, it sucks. And not very well either. I'm hoping the MRI is a win-win thing, by either telling me what it is, or at least saying what it isn't.

Usually unless it is emergency surgery they let you pick when you will have surgery

I honestly doubt that even if they find something in your knee that recommends surgery that they will get you a surgery date before October. (I know, not the most encouraging.)

I suspect you're right, and they won't do a surgery date (assuming it's needed) before I go on a trip. But I'd like to make sure before I start clearing my schedule. I'd hate to clear my schedule and then find out they want to do it before I plan to leave

*HUGS* I hope the MRI ends up being "good" news and shows you how to cure the pain without surgery or lots of drugs.

I'd really love it if you could do the drive up and stop in.

I hope the MRI ends up being helpful :) and that there is a fix for your knee pain (the only "fix" for mine is Alleve, and lots of it)

As for getting across the border, as someone in a cross-border kingdom (wink), you can get by with just a drivers license and a birth cert but having a passport is Even Better :) you know that you have a tourguide for Vancouver, right *smile* esp if you make it on a weekend so that i won't have classes :)
