Annoyance.....
Sep. 2nd, 2004 09:32 amTalked with the doctor yesterday about the MRI results.
Or rather, lack of results, because they couldn't find anything wrong with my knee. Some areas that look like they might tear over time, but nothing else.
Needless to say, I'm annoyed. And still in pain.
He doesn't want me to use a brace or cane when the pain is worse, because he's worried that may weaken the knee. Considering I can barely walk in that state without severe pain unless I'm bracing it somehow, I think I may ignore part of that.
(Grumble) Unhappy indeed.

Hmmm . . .
Date: 2004-09-02 09:50 am (UTC)1) Where is the pain in the knee? If it's to the inside and upper edge of the knee cap, I'd wonder if it were nerve impingement -- as far up as in the low back.
2) Is the doctor who discussed the results issue an orthopedist, and a specialist in sports medicine? It needed to be. The initial evaluation of my knee injury missed entirely the small tear in my ACL, which wasn't seen till they had a knee specialist look at it.
I have some exercises to show you this weekend.
