Don't Diss Dummies

Despite the title, the Dummies books are overall pretty darned literate and helpful with the information you actually NEED to know. Recommended.

Oh, I'm *not* dissing the dummies books. I'm more annoyed with the realization that the sole reason I'm even somewhat better informed about our neighbor to the north is that I read Spider Robinson and listen to the Frantics and Dead Trolls in a Baggie. (not to mention Cirque du Soleil, but that gets into the whole "Quebec Culture vs. the rest of Canada" thing.....)
