On a lighter note
Oct. 11th, 2004 12:30 amLittle Bit is doing imagination games right now. So Sunday morning, she "hands" me a pretend cup, asking if want some lemonade.
I take the "cup", make sipping noises, and say "that's very good. Is it rasberry lemonade?" (Since that's her favourite".)
She goes "No, it's chocolate lemonade!"
Well, I guess it's toddler logic - "If I like two things seperate, then combining them will be even better!"
Still, Chocolate Lemonade?? Blegh!

Definitely a big ol' blegh!

I love lemon-creme chocolate candies, but the texture of the lemon-creme filling and the chocolate coating are comparable, which can't be true of a chocolate syrup and lemonade combo--and a cocoa and lemonade combo would curdle, which is even worse. Good texture (mouth feel) is a very important food quality to me. I've also eaten choclate- and lemon-flavored cakes and cookies that didn't gag me, although I don't like them as much as I like those little candies. So while I wouldn't want Little Bit's lemonade in real life, the very concept doesn't completely squick me.
