There was a call for people in the local barony to go over and help with preperations for Festival of the Rose, Estrella, and new signs for Potrero. Since I was in San Diego after all, I went over to help.

And found I was the only person who showed. Needless to say, nothing happened.

*sigh* Trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the day and weekend.

Oh, does anyone out there have any opinions good or bad about either Washington Mutual or San Diego County Credit Union?? My current bank has been committing acts of mass suckitude, and I want to start switching over.

I was a member of SDCCU about 10 years ago, and my family are still members. I remember that $50 is needed in your savings account or else they close it. That aside, it is a very good bank.
Sayumi was a member at WashMu. She never had problems with her account, and the tellers at the locations we went to were cordual if not nice. I think that the Savings Account req a $300 initial balance, but can flux afterward.
It has been years since being privy to either, so maybe picking up their account info (net or pamphlet) will help.
Good luck,
C.

Go with the credit unions. Credit unions mucho better.

We like WaMu for our main account -- though I had some issue with them when I had to purchase something over my daily limit on my debit card even when I had the money in the account. Luckily, Apple allowed me to pay for it on two different days. We've never had an issue with over charges, missed deposits or anything like that, and we've had an account there for about 8 years.

I have a Lockheed FCU account which is where my VA check goes, and they're awfully nice, too. Our car loan is through them, too.

I use PLCU and I've been happy; $5 min in savings. I use SDCCU ATMs a lot, since they're also CO-OP Network, so feeless for me.
