So far have 124 movies, 139 CD's, 11 books, and 6 games scanned and in Delicious Library. The nice thing is that this is giving me a chance to organize the collections as I scan them.

The books are going be the be biggest pain though. (sigh)

Hmmm....without looking at the software, I can't say yea or nay on it. Looks complete, and the cost is about the same as Delicious Library.

You can download a demo of Delicious Libary and try it out for yourself. The demo is limited to 25 entries, but that was enough for me to get a feel for it. While you can use a barcode scanner or iSight, (give me a week and I can get you a hacked CueCat barcode scanner that would work), it also works by inputting the title or UPC code. It then pulls the data off of Amazon, (A minus I found is that it can be iffy on things got on other Amazon sites, as it only looks at Amazon US, UK, Germany, and Japan. They're adding other country support though).

OH my, I need this bad. Not just for the home library but for the College of Heralds as well.

(nods) It's a nice interface. I also discovered late last night that it can search by the Amazon item number as well, which has the plus of "forcing" stuff that's available on other Amazon stores they don't support yet, (since Amazon keeps the item numbers for *ALL* their stores in a central database.)

It also accepts pictures from outside sources as well, so it Amazon doesn't have the cover art, one can either find it elsewhere on-line or scan it in.

And it will also export the items in tab-deliminated form as well. Quite handy.

The more I play with Delicious Library, the more I like it
