It is nowhere near a PCC. PCCs had entries at the front, for single-operator operation. This is closer to a sow-belly, which had a single entry in the center of the car.
Hmm....I can see ways to modify the lego model to bring it closer to a PCC, but it might be easier to scratch-build accordingly. (Looks at the collection of lego bricks he owns) I have a couple of extra train car baseplates, the trick is getting enough yellow bricks. I'll have to play with this idea somewhat.
Does this mean you're likely to be out there the first weekend of June for the Spring Railfestival (volunteering). You know that your daughter can be assigned to the position of "Help Dad" and work with you... my daughter did that for quite a few years. If you are, let me know and I'll see if Paul can put us near each other so I can show you the ropes. Normally, I work 2nd/3rd shifts on Saturday, and all day Sunday, as I have to drive out from the valley. I normally stay in either Riverside or Hemet; I can't stand the Days Inn in Perris.
