Finally decide "Heck, it's only money I really don't have", and head over to the local urgent care. My throat has been sore now for a week, my sinuses are constantly running, I keep coughing, and now my ears hurt. Feels like my old friend sinus infection to me.
Local urgent care is no longer 24 hours. Now it's 8am to 8pm.
Feh. Either try again tomorrow, or see if I can get a perscription for the same antibiotic that knocked this out last time.

Date: 2005-03-27 06:21 am (UTC)Several years ago at ComicCon, we saw a panel with Kurt Busiek, during the period when he was just starting to get back up to speed after a long bout with sinus problems. He said he went to one doctor who said, "Take these pills." It didn't help much. Then he went to another, who said, "Put some lemon juice in water. Drink lots of it." It worked :-).
We never got a chance to ask him how much, but I'd guess a tablespoon per 8 oz is a good place to start. A search on the net also turned up apple cider vinegar, but also that warning that both acids are hard on the teeth so a) don't take them straight-up and b) rinse with plain water afterwards.
There's also garlic -- something we swear by after using it for several years when we had no health insurance and so had to treat minor infections at home :-).
Hope you feel better soon!
