Caught up on Gundam SEED DVD's #8 and #9. The series seems to have massively picked up, (and hopefully will get the bad taste of 08th MS Team out of my mouth). Kira no longer has a psychopath for a girlfriend, and his best friend Athryn is no longer fighting against him. Of course, you now have the problem that both the Earth Alliance, (who's controlled by anti-Coordinator fanatics), and ZAFT, (who's now controlled by anti-Natural fanatics, including Athryn's father), both want to kill Kira, Athryn, and as many of their peace faction as they possibly can. To top it all off, the Earth Alliance has given performance-boosting drugs to three former criminals, put them in the cockpits of their newest Gundams, and have let them loose to try and capture or kill Kira and Athryn.

Yeah, it's a soap opera at times. But a good one.

Five episodes left in the series, and the final DVD is due out 5/10/05. Then, hopefully, Bandai will start releasing DVDs for the next series, Gundam SEED Destiny.

In the meantime, I need to get the soundtracks for SEED......
