Peter David on the last episode of "Enterprise"

http://peterdavid.malibulist.com/archives/002915.html

"Basically, the last episode of "Star Trek" consists of a guy in a Starfleet outfit sitting around watching a rerun of "Star Trek," and even creating his own fanfic by writing himself into the story and making himself a wise, wonderfully intelligent individual who all the crewmembers unburden themselves to."

Haven't watched a star trek anything in ages.

It almost sounds like Berman was pissed with all the fans who hated his work, and wanted to bitch-slap them in the only way he could. (Berman, right? I could be getting names mixed up.)

My favorite is the last post - "Dear Paramount, Please get JMS to write the next Star Trek. Sincerely, The Fans."

If only we could be so lucky LOL Though knowing Paramount and the "new gaurd" of management that apparently just came in they would just fuck it up and not let JMS have his way. Thats part of why he left the first network. If they were to bring in JMS and leave him alone I am sure we would have the best written, most contiguous Star Trek ever, and knowing JMS he would even find a way to make all the various timeline fuck ups from the various incarnations make sense without further borking the swiss cheesed, heavily moth eaten tapaestry that is the Star Trek timeline.

I am not much of a Star Trek fanboy though I do enjoy it. Off and on anyway.

Ok enough of my geeking out.
