I got my hair cut today. Short. Gone are the curls, the tail, the sides.

It's now an inch above the collar, and shorter than I've had it in years.

Going to take getting used to.

Honestly, I didn't think the ponytail was all that becoming.

Come the week of June 1, my hair goes bye-bye as well. I'm just trying to settle on what to do with it. I'm allowed to have long hair in basic, but in the first few weeks I have 5 minutes to shower, and currently my hair takes at least 5. Not handy.

Lately while I'm not in anything like basic, I do have kids, an 86 year old mother, a dog and a job - so what I do is just keep it braided. Tighten the braid now and then, just shampoo what shows while it's braided without unbraiding. If I have a few minutes, I rebraid it while wet, otherwise I just remove then replace the scrunchy after washing.

(On those rare occasions I wear it loose, it *really* has a nice wave to it. :))

I never knew I could shampoo while braided, and I've had long hair for ages now. Learn something every day.

Braids are OK as long as they're wound up into a knot, so I may just do that.

Does it stay or does it go now?

I'm considering cutting the tail off, as well. What in hell is a thirty-six year old father of three doing with a silly-ass ponytail to begin with?

Sheesh!

Heavens. I'm glad you warned us. I'm quite sure you look quite spiffy but I miss my curly-top kid.

I went to the Viscountess last week and got cut and colored, subtly, now the silver threads are golden-brown highlights. Muchly preferred.
