patgund.....is me hitting my head repeatedly against the well. Blegh.
Found out last weekend that there was an open relay on our mail server, and a spam housen was using us as a relay - causing us to be black holed.
Feh.
Spent most of saturday and sunday fixing the problem. Had to reset the server yesterday and rebuild the mail database. In the meantime, a mail list with a badly setup server managed to barf about 200 messages at us - which caused 200 auto replies. Which the mail list software dumped onto the list! Eeek!
Tired, grumpy, annoyed, horny, the list goes on.......
