patgundI'm building up quite the list of places I'm looking forward to sharing with Little Bit when I bring her up here (for a visit or extended amount of time)
Washington State Ferries.
The Fremont Troll.
Quite a few other places on the list of where I want to go.
Today was one of them.
I went to the Future of Flight in Everett, Got to look at pretty airplanes. Got to stand next to the tail of a 747. Got to sit in the captain's position on a 727 cockpit *(WHEEE! All the pretty knobs and switches! And me with only a long-expired single engine rating.......) Got to see more pretty airplanes....
Then board a bus and off to the mucking huge building that houses Boeing's 747, 777, and 787 aseembly lines. Got to see one of the world's largest jigsaw puzzles as they put chunks o' 747 together. Got to see one of the even bigger 747 "Dreamlifter" expanded cargo planes used to ship 787 wings from Japan.
Wow.
Was fun.
