Correcting Educational Oversights

seattlejo was surprised to find out I've never seen anything by Kevin Smith.
Setting out to correct this educational gap, Deb has so far had me watch "Mallrats" and most of "Dogma", (and I want to watch the rest of that one. Something about Alan Rickman as the voice of God just seems right)

Date: 2007-08-31 05:14 am (UTC)1. It's too close to reality for rural-suburban NJ. No, it's EXACTLY like that. I remember shopping centers like that. Exactly like that.
2. I could have ended up having people like that as my life-friends if I hadn't left NJ. Exactly.
That movie is, to me, the sound of a bullet that narrowly misses my brain.
