I don't LIKE Michael Moore much.

But that being said, the LAST place I would have expected a good review of his latest movie was Fox News....

'Sicko' Shows Michael Moore's Maturity as a Filmmaker

"Filmmaker Michael Moore's brilliant and uplifting new documentary, "Sicko," deals with the failings of the U.S. healthcare system, both real and perceived. But this time around, the controversial documentarian seems to be letting the subject matter do the talking, and in the process shows a new maturity.

Unlike many of his previous films ("Roger and Me," "Bowling for Columbine," "Fahrenheit 9-11"), "Sicko" works because in this one there are no confrontations. Moore smartly lets very articulate average Americans tell their personal horror stories at the hands of insurance companies. The film never talks down or baits the audience.

"This film is a call to action," Moore said at a press conference on Saturday. "It's also not a partisan film."

Mind has gone up, Body has gone down. Spirt has gone up, Friends/Family has gone up, Finance has dropped slightly.

Love though, went from 1.4 to 9.2 Which is NOT a bad thing at all.....

In a far better place in my world now than I was last June....

While pricing things, today, I found a line of air matresses by Coleman.

Now, I admit I'm iffy about built-in pumps, but sure, okay.

And a built-in pump with an alarm clock makes some sense....

But why on earth did they think there was a need for an air matress with a speaker and plug for an iPod???

Another company had folding camp chairs with built in iPod speakers.....

Okay, I tried to watch the 70's film version of "The Harrad Experiment". I read the book in the mid 80's when I first started to read about polyamory. At the time, I thought it was breathtakingly preachy, pretentious, and boring. The movie got the "boring" part down though.

1/4 of the way though, I gave up. Somewhere around the co-ed nude yoga, and the students passing "zooms" around. They "zoomed", I "zapped" the remote. This really needs to watched in a group to mock properly - appropriate for a movie dealing with multiple-partner relationships.

And if it was any more 70's, the (polyester) DVD case would have had bell-bottoms, sideburns, and an afro......

Was looking at the wedding packages that they offer at "Star Trek - The Experience" at the Las Vegas Hilton.

These range from the "Vulcan Vow Renewal' at $350-$550, all the way to "Admiral's Wedding" at $3,000. Plus various catered receptions.

And the thought that came though my mind was "Surprised they don't offer a Betazed wedding package........"
