Chatting with a friend of mine last week about various on-line dating and matchmaking systems. (rendating.com, okcupid.com, etc.)

Them: "See, the whole point is that you have a place to sell. That place being yourself and your heart."
Me: "Great, that makes me sound like real estate. Should I write the profile to read something like 'Suburban fixer-upper, needs landscaping improvements?'"
Them; "Well, only if you want to.

Should have some of my friends take a crack at writing a profile. Can't be any worse of a job than I've done myself. Anyone want to give it a shot??

I dont know you that well, but what you started out with sounds like it would be fun. It's a lot better than, oh.. 50 yo troll 5'9 500 lbs no hair wants 19 yo virgin hwp nd/ns and financially $$ecure...

I must admit that I tend to read the personals for humor value. Because otherwise it would just be too depressing.

Well, going with your original theme:

"Uniquely comfortable slightly-used property in need of loving attention and some minor wiring repairs. Offers excellent mind system and sense of humor, youthful outlook and loving heart. Has wonderful and experimental kitchen skills, contemporary electronics and computer capability, and homey front porch. Needs someone willing to invest time and attention in creating a welcoming home."

What do you think?
